Siberian ginseng (Eleutherococcus senticosus) – also known as prickly eleutherococcus. It is a 1-2 metre tall shrub with five-fingered leaves, black fruits and a highly developed root system. It occurs naturally in Siberia, China, Japan, Mongolia and Korea. The roots of Siberian ginseng contain eleutherosides.
