Ziółko Linden, Blossom – 25 g

Linden contains whole, dried lime blossoms in its composition. It is particularly recommended for brewing.

The lime tree is a unique plant with many valuable properties. This species, found mainly in temperate climates in the northern hemisphere – in our country it is a very common plant. A characteristic feature of this species is its longevity – it can live up to 1,000 years. In terms of appearance, the trees of this species are characterised by their great height (up to 40 metres) and spreading branches. There are around 30 species of lime tree, of which two grow wild in Poland – the small-leaved lime and the broad-leaved lime. The tree is considered an ornamental plant, so it can often be found in parks and squares, especially along avenues.

Lime blossom – medicinal properties

The unique composition of lime blossom means that it has many unique properties. The main reason for this is flavonoids – compounds that are characterised by effective antioxidant and anticancer properties, able to remove free radicals from the body that can damage tissues and accelerate the ageing process. Quercetin (which reduces the permeability of blood vessels) and tyliroside, a powerful anti-inflammatory substance, among others, have also been found in lime flowers. The composition of the lime blossoms is also rich in tannins (have an astringent effect on the mucous membranes of the gastrointestinal tract and prevent diarrhoea) and essential oils (improve appetite and promote the secretion of digestive juices).

Suggestion for use:

Pour 200ml of hot water over 1 tablespoon of lime blossom 2-3 times a day, brew covered for 5-8 minutes.
