Vitaler’s Vitamin B3 500 mg is a dietary supplement in capsule form containing niacinamide (nicotinic acid amide) — a form of vitamin B3 without the flush effect (skin redness). Niacin contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue and to the normal functioning of the nervous system. 500 mg of niacinamide in one capsule (3125% RDA). Does not contain: added sugar, sweeteners, preservatives, flavourings, colourings, dairy products.

Vitamin B3 is a term that covers two chemical compounds with the same biological activity:

• nicotinic acid (niacin)
• nicotinic acid amide (niacinamide)

B3 (vitamin PP) is classified as a water-soluble B vitamin and is one of the few vitamins that can be produced in small amounts in the human body from an amino acid (tryptophan).

Vitaler’s nicotinamide is characterised by the absence of temporary skin redness — it does not cause a ‘flush’ effect (which is characteristic of niacin).
