Bilovit Vetiver Essential Oil – 10 ml

Vetiver essential oil is obtained from the perennial grass vetiveria zizanioides. Aromatic roots are used, previously dried in the sun, which enhances the final fragrance of the oil. Although vetiver has much in common with other “fragrant grasses,” it has unique properties of great importance to the body and psyche. In traditional medicine, the product is known as the “oil of peace” for a reason.

Vetiver oil – properties

The oil is rich in sesquiterpenes (and their derivatives), which exhibit anti-inflammatory activity. The extract improves brain function and enhances alertness, concentration and memory skills. Vetiver root has strong antioxidant properties – it cleanses the body of toxins and free radicals, improves immune system functions. The oil, which is a concentrated product, will help keep the skin healthy and young looking.

It is characterized by an exotic, sensual and deep aroma. The scent is often described as earthy, woody and citrusy with a floral or smoky note – which ultimately depends on the region where the raw material is grown. The product alleviates tension and stress, has a calming effect, often used for insomnia and sleep problems. It perfectly copes with unpleasant odors – it refreshes and deodorizes in an extremely pleasant (and healthy) way.

The oil is also used during sleep. As studies show, it improves breathing patterns and can help people who struggle with snoring. When used during a massage, the product improves blood circulation, relieves muscle and joint pain, and can prevent stretch marks. The extract protects the skin from environmental factors, tightens and firms it.

Origin of raw material: Fragrant vetiver occurs naturally in China, Africa, North and South America and India. It has long been used in meditation in the Far East for its remarkable relaxing properties.
