Palmarosa essential oil is extracted from the fresh stems and leaves of ginger palm (Cymbopogon martinii), the process uses a steam distillation method. Although the plant has a rose-like scent, it belongs to the same family as lemongrass. The product contains active substances with properties that have been scientifically proven. It has been used in Ayurvedic medicine for thousands of years and is steadily gaining popularity – not only among aromatherapy enthusiasts.

Palmarosa oil – properties

Palmarosa essential oil has a strong antimicrobial effect, combats harmful and pathogenic microorganisms, also protects minor wounds from infection. During infections, it dilates the respiratory tract, decongests sinuses and relieves coughs. It is sometimes useful for skin disorders (eczema, psoriasis, ringworm) and recurrent headaches.
